- I have lived in the Twin Cities (Minneapolis/ St. Paul MN) pretty much all of my life. The Lord graciously saved me when I was about 4 years old. I still remember the day it happened. Since then I have always understood (As John Newton said), "I am a great sinner and Christ is a great Savior," and have never sought salvation in any other. He is my all in all, and without him my life is meaningless and miserable.
I have also been blessed to be a worship leader at my church (www.ipawc.org) for the last two years or so on a volunteer basis. I love worship, the Bible, theology, and sharing Christ with the lost.
Books that God has used to bless my spirit recently that I would encourage others to read would be:
Martin Luther, "The Bondage of the Will" (De Servo Arbitrium).
Ray Comfort, "The Way of the Master" (once called "The Golden Key to Revival" and related to his epic prophetic message, "Hell's Best Kept Secret")
Wayne Grudem, "Systematic Theology," and "The Gift of Prophecy."
John Piper, "Desiring God" (which I believe is destined to become a classic of Christian Literature), and "Future Grace."
Sam Storms, "Convergence," and "The Beginner's Guide to Spiritual Gifts."
And, of course... THE BIBLE! ...just in case you forgot that one ;)

Next we are finding charismatic Hindus & Moslems they believe all of
those points; but what about the Tried LORDSHIP of Jesus? MANY will
come saying JESUS JESUS LORD LORD we have done all these things & you
ate with us and you were our teacher! IT IS NOT ENOUGH TO HAVE THE ALL
THE DOCTRINE RIGHT AND EVEN DO THE SIGNS & WONDERS & STILL GO TO HELL.
The whole Christian world today is distracted and preoccupied with good
teaching and Christian excitement. We are most in danger of losing the
person of Christ by having everything in an objective way. Tozer said
something in the beginning of the book The Persuit Of God that shook me again. We are content with the bricks of the altar perfectly set and our sacrifice cut but we don't have any deep concern that there is no sign of fire on the altar. We have more right opinions of Biblical truth
today than ever but true spiritual worship could never be at a lower
spiritual ebb.
