Our Challenge Today!

It was a big deal in our past how we greeted each other, it was much greater then than it is today because we have been losing our concern for others. Salutations have been a part of our history since the time of the Romans, this greeting ritual differs all over the world, and in many places saluting is very elaborate and time consuming. It is a form of politeness in which our western culture has long tried to shorten or do away with. The shaking of hands, the waving hand gesture, and even the nod of the head is a polite form of greeting and without this we wonder if we are received or not. Whatever way in which a culture chooses to salute another is the way in which they show their respect. All through the 16th chapter of Romans the disciples were going through this process of showing respect to those listed. Paul was giving instruction to give respect to others. We should respect others for who created them and out of our love for their creator. Greet them with kindness and love. Today, take notice of how we are greeted and how we greet others, is it with kindness and love? Respect our creator by respecting His creation.
