sharing an important message for our children of this world.

PRAYER FOR MISSING CHILDREN,
Lord Jesus, You are Lord over all the earth. There is no one who can challenge Your love or authority. You gave Yourself for the salvation of men, and are now seated at the right hand of the Father.
(YES LORD) ( AGREE IN AS READING)
Lord, I ask that You would extend Your sovereign hand over the, MISSING CHILDREN all over the world and USA . You said in Your word that just as You blessed me, you would bless THE CHILDREN. I embrace that promise, and ask that You would cover THE MISSING CHILDREN with the same blessings of mercy and forgiveness that You have shown to me.

I take my authority as YOUR Daughter , and I bind the spirits of darkness that have been assigned to harass the children and distract them from the love of Christ. I proclaim that she/he has been bought with the blood of Christ and no one but Jesus has any claim to his/her life. I command all spirits of darkness to stand back, and do not hinder his/her from coming to Jesus Christ almighty lord. For Jesus once said, "Do not hinder the children from coming to me."

Lord, I ask that You would fulfill Your promise, "that if I believed in You, I would be saved, and my whole household." Lord, I thank You that You have plans to give MISSING CHILDREN hope and a future. I embrace whatever Your destiny is for him/her, and I look forward with faith to all that You are bringing his/her into. May his/her life be a testimony to Your love and mercy. May others be drawn to you through the light of his/her life. In Jesus mighty name. Amen

DR.J.CHRISTOPHER DANIEL Comment by DR.J.CHRISTOPHER DANIEL on August 31, 2008 at 3:47am
The genesis of the Christian Church at the Yanamalai Quarry, Madurai, South India.

The First Stage:

Back in the year 1980 a small boy studying in 5th grade, away at primary school in a hidden hamlet near Madurai, at the foot of the hillock in the shape of an elephant, called “Elephant Rock”, {please see the attachment}was enacting the role of “Veerapandia Kattabomman”(an erstwhile Tamil king who fought against the British rule) in a social drama organised by the school. The boy named Pandian (named after the pandiya kings who ruled Tamilnadu, South India few centuries ago) brought back the scene so wonderfully, that Dr. J. Christopher Daniel, a Christian Social work educator and a Professor of Social Work in a local College of Social Work attending a rural camp at this place, could see the bubbling joy in this child’s eyes and vowed to sponsor his education. After Pandian finished his primary education, Dr.Christopher arranged with KNH to get foster parents for him. He was admitted in a church of South India (C.S.I.) residential school to continue his studies in the year 1983.Pandian has been a sponsored child of Dr.Christopher Daniel and his wife,Prof(Mrs)Kalaneethy Christopher since 1980.

Young Man attracted to Christianity (1989):

Pandian, had a lot of questions in his mind to which he found an answer in Jesus Christ. He accepted Jesus as his Saviour and Lord. He became a very active member in the “Students for Christ” movement. He led many students to Christ at the residential school.

During vacations, he visited his village and shared his enlightening experiences with the young friends. A small group followed his example, and there arose at the Yanamalai quarry, a band of Christian youth whose hearts were set on fire for Christ. They became the corner stone for the new Christian church existing there today.

Gospel movement to the villages (1990) :-

This small group of Christian youth set on foot to nearby villages in a soul winning mission, with Christ in their hearts they spread the good news and doors were thrown wide open. People who have never heard the name of Jesus Christ, listened and committed their lives to Him. Vacation Bible schools were conducted for the children. Many families came to follow Christ. They testified that Jesus is the way who is the unchanging God. To nurture the new believers in Christ, they were affiliated to a local CSI church in the village called Othakadai. They testified to their new found faith very firmly.

Opposition Mounts (1993):-

The young church had to face a lot of opposition from “within the Christian body and without from the Hindu neighbours”. Their trials were like the ones faced by their Master to whom they vowed their lives. Eventually the foundation got strengthened and they built a small house of worship at their little hamlet, ably supported by the Professor and his wife. Very soon, miscreants in the neighbourhood set fire to this house very stealthily. That day Pandian swore that the fire was a purifying fire and the following months he raised funds to rebuild the house of worship and to this day it stands as a monument to the unwavering faith, the little flock has in Christ.

Wave of revival:

The youth wing of the Christian population toiled to convert the wave of opposition to that of revival. The gospel spread its wings near and far. Strong prayer cells are emerging. Weekly Bible studies are being organised. People are being set free in body and mind.

Organisation of Christians:

On 12th March 1995, a group of 39 new believers were baptized by Rev. Abraham of the Church of South India pastorate in Othakadai,Madurai. This sent a fervour in the hearts of other new believers and on 24th September 1995, Rev. P. Chelliah of the CSI pastorate, Othakadai baptized 30 more believers. This process is periodically repeated and the Stone quarry C.S.I. Church is on the increase. An amazing miracle is the conversion of Pandian’s father, Arumugam, the headman and a Hindu temple priest and his family, as followers of Christ.

Outreach Programme:

Evangelical work is carried on around the quarry, in 37 hamlets and villages in Karungal, Muniandipuram, Chidamparampatti, and Malayalathanpatti and infant Christian Churches have been established. A group of young people from the quarry church are being sent as missionaries to nurture these little beginnings. Dr.Christopher Daniel and his wife Kalaneethy Christopher have been personally supporting this village ministry in a small way through financial contributions, conducting Bible study classes, counselling sessions for familes and social ministries in selected villages for the first generation Christians The Christian church at Yanamalai (Elephant Hill) quarry firmly believes that it will follow the footsteps of the disciples of Jesus, in spreading the Good news to the unreached in Tamilnadu, with the guidance of their master and support of the local Christians.

Partners in Christ:

You could be a partner in Christ in this 37 village ministry by your generous help, support and encouragement for bringing many people into the Christian faith to live for Jesus. The need of the hour is to plant prayer halls and small places of worship in these unchurched villages.

Your prayers and support are most welcome.God bless you

I am Sawla Mon from Yangon, Myanmar. It is very interesting country formerly known as Burma. But this government changed its name to Myanmar. Burma means just for the major tribe of this country. So this government changed it to "Myanmar" which is more comprehensive. There are about 135 or 136 tribes in Myanmar. So it is multi-cultural country. The majority is Burma or Bamar.
The common language is Bamar. The new capital city is Naypyidaw. But Yangon is still a very big city as a business capital city of Myanmar.
Here, Buddhism is the biggest and pre-dominant religion with about 85 percent out of the whole population. Only about 7 percent is Christians.
I am called to be a pastor for this country to plant more churches among non-Christian Buddhist world.
The churches are interesting here.
We need to do more missions among non-believers. Even though Christianity took root here more than 150 years ago, the number of believers is still very small. Churches are forced to do more missions by the believers within.
Because of some revival movements, some Christians become so enthusiastic but impacting the exiting church divided or forming new denominations. Whatever the cases there are, my genuine motive is to carry the light of Jesus Christ to non-believers and plant more churches. This is the vision God has given me within.
I am working with existing churches as well as individual believers.
We have new planted churches among real non-believers areas. The results are so interesting. The regular comers are growing and God is doing His miracles.
We need to perform baptism for new Christians.
We have no big building to meet yet, but the numbers are so much growing that we got some mental tension in thinking and planning how we can accept those who want to join our fellowships.
And there are also some needs of training for the ministers. I need to invest more time to train the people as Paul did in the first century gentile churches.
There are also social tension among Buddhist people and we need to lay the Holy Spirit-filled strategies. Oh LORD, help us to know.
(I will write more later. Now i need to take a rest).

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; Isaiah 9:6. For if salvation is given to us freely, and we now live for Christ, then it is a joy to be part of this great theme, making more deciples for Christ and hence planting more churches. Many blessings to you fellow brethren. Lets get started for we are more than conquorers.

Praise the Lord! This sounds like a great group. Our organization has many churches in Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, opening up in Pakistan and the US. It is a great joy to serve the Lord. I just returned to the US from living in eastern Africa and cannot describe what an awesome plan of God that was. Looking forward to discussions with all of you.
